A step-by-step guide to in-person collection from Beximco Pharmaceuticals

From November, patients, their families or representatives will be able to travel to Dhaka in Bangladesh and collect Triko and/or Bexdeco tablets directly from the manufacturer, Beximco Pharmaceuticals. Orders for collection can be placed now, with payments taken later.
Before taking this step or making any travel arrangements, please first check the personal importation regulations in your own country — including whether personal importation of these medicines is permitted, what documentation may be required, and any limits on the quantity that can be brought home.
The process below sets out each stage, from first contact with Beximco Pharma through to collecting your medicine in Dhaka.
The patient or their representative should email Beximco Pharma with the required documents, such as the prescription and medical report (English version). If the prescription is unavailable due to a valid reason, the medical report alone may be submitted.
Beximco Pharma will evaluate the prescription and/or medical report. If the submitted information meets the requirements, Beximco Pharma shall arrange localization of the prescription and revert the same to the patient or their representative.
Based on the prescribed dosage and the number of packs (30-tablet packs) the patient wishes to purchase, Beximco Pharma will issue a pro-forma invoice in USD along with the bank details for payment.
Beximco Pharma shall issue an invitation letter to patients who plan to visit Dhaka. Citizens of approximately 40–50 countries are generally eligible for a Visa on Arrival (VOA) in Bangladesh. Please refer to the link below for the terms and conditions, eligibility criteria, and the list of eligible countries. We recommend checking your country’s visa status and obtaining a visa in advance, if necessary, before making your travel plans. The Visa on Arrival fee is USD 50, payable in cash.
Beximco Pharma kindly requests that payment be completed before you leave your country of residence, as bank clearance typically takes 2–3 business days. They will confirm receipt of the payment as soon as the bank clearance process is completed.
Patients or their representatives are requested to share their travel itinerary at least 5 days before arriving in Dhaka. Beximco Pharma shall arrange airport transfers to and from the hotel for patients and their representatives. If hotel booking assistance is required, Beximco Pharma will be pleased to help and advise you. The medicine will usually be handed over at their Head Office (HO) in Dhanmondi on the next working day. Beximco Pharma will also arrange transportation between the hotel and the Head Office. If the patient or representative is interested in visiting the Beximco Pharma manufacturing facility, they will be happy to arrange the visit as well.
